Safari cost is based on a minimum of 6 guests, 1 professional photographer, and 1 tour guide/driver. Tour will only be guaranteed once 6 travelers have signed up. Cost: $6,750 per person. Single supplement: $950. We can take up to 8 guests on this incredible tour!

Nick Dale, a London-based professional photographer, has enjoyed photography for most of his life and decided to take things to the professional level in 2013. Nick has had his photographs exhibited multiple times in London, New York and online. He’s won many awards and has given seminars around the world. Nick enjoys working with people and helping them improve their photography skills.

Nick has traveled this route before with WorldwideXplorer in 2016!

 

Among other things, Nick will present a daily review of your images with feedback, show you his own 'Shot of the Day', run a photo competition with winners awarded small prizes on the final day and give short photographic talks and slideshows such as 'How to get the most from a game drive', 'Safari bingo' and 'Knowing your camera’.

Arrive at the airport in Maun, Botswana! Your safari guide and Nick will pick you up from the airport and then you will drive to Moremi Game Reserve for your first night of overnight camping. Our professional staff travel ahead of your safari vehicle and set up & remove all of your tents, bedding, etc., so that you will arrive with everything set up each day that you’re camping. Each traveler will have a cot with mattress pad to sleep on. The camp cook will prepare meals for you during each camping day. Your drive today will include good opportunities to see your first wildlife of the journey! Meals: Dinner.

You will get to see a lot of wildlife in Moremi Game Reserve today, as you will have both a morning and then an evening game drive. During the middle of the day, animals take a break from grazing and are difficult to spot, which means it’s the perfect time for you to have a break back at the camp site. Use the time to relax, unwind, and enjoy lunch. Camping overnight in Moremi.

There will be a short morning game drive after breakfast, time permitting. Then, you will depart from Moremi Game Reserve and go to Savuti Park, known for its hillier geography and large concentration of elephants and predators. You’ll likely see wildlife along the way. Watch as the terrain changes periodically during the drive. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Savuti. Camping overnight in Savuti.

After a quick morning game drive, you will depart Savuti Park and head for Chobe National Park. There will be an afternoon game drive in Chobe National Park, which is another great place to see wildlife along watering holes and by the river. Camping overnight in Chobe.

August 1, 2020

Enjoy a lovely morning game drive in Chobe, then head back to the camp site for lunch and relaxation. Instead of an afternoon game drive, you will have an afternoon Chobe River boat ride game viewing experience. It’s another interesting perspective of the lives of the animals along the river, and a good opportunity to spot some interesting birds, like the African Fish Eagle! You will also have a chance to stop in the town of Kasane to pick up a few grocery items, if desired. Camping overnight in Chobe.

August 2, 2020

Accommodations: Victoria Falls Waterfront Lodge (or equivalent)

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch and dinner are at your expense; the lodge offers plenty of variety.

If there is time, enjoy a morning game drive in Chobe National Park. Then, your guide will drive you to the border of Botswana and Zambia, where you will cross the border by speed boat (perhaps a 10 minute journey). After you’ve cleared customs, the group will depart for and arrive at the lodge in Victoria Falls. Enjoy the tropical landscaping, take a dip in the pool, and enjoy this beautiful location! 

August 3, 2020

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch and dinner are at your expense; the lodge offers plenty of variety.

Spend part of the morning at Victoria Falls with Nick; the rest of the day is free to choose your own activities (there are all kinds of choices, from boat rides along the Zambezi River, to flights over Victoria Falls, visits to wildlife sanctuaries, and much more).  In the evening, you will return to the Falls with Nick to see the lunar rainbow! Learn more about how to take optimal photos for this exclusive event! Overnight at Victoria Falls Waterfront Lodge (or equivalent).
